Brief introduction:

Zsolt Czigány graduated as physicist in 1992 and received PhD in 1999. Since 2013 he is Doctor of Sciences (degree issued by Hungarian Academy of Sciences). He is materials scientist specialized in transmission electron microscopy of thin films, nanoparticles, nanocomposites and nanostructured materials. Experienced in characterization of multilayers, fullerene-like structures and a broad variety of nanomaterials. Recently involved in investigation of apatites, electrodeposited Ni and development of new generation ceramic dispersed steels and hard coatings (TiAlN, VAlN, WBC, MoBC...). Open to challenges in artefact free TEM sample preparation.

Co-author of more than 125 peer reviewed papers (cumulated impact factor of 370) and received more than 3300 citations (Hirsch index: 32). In 2010 he received the Outstanding Paper Award of the European Microscopy Society.

He has advanced communication skills in English and Swedish.
