PMI’s 10th jubilee Conference entitled “Art of Projects” was organized by the PMI Budapest, Hungarian Chapter. Tony Appleby (MBA, CDir, PMP Chair Emeritus, PMI), Honorary Chairman of the Project Management Institute – PMI Board of Directors opened the event on November 3, 2022. Balázs Zábori, EK-CER’s space engineer and program manager of the HUNOR – Hungarian to Orbit Astronaut Program was the main speaker at this year’s conference.

Balázs Zábori introduced the HUNOR Program announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade with the aim to carry out world-class Hungarian scientific experiments and tests at the International Space Station by the next Hungarian astronaut, whose mission is expected to be completed in 2024. In order to leverage the spare capacity of the mission the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and EK-CER have launched a joint call for proposals for human spaceflight projects.

PMI Budapest, Hungarian Chapter is an organization that is part of the Project Management Institute (PMI). The chapter was established in 2003 and it works in association legal form / operates as a non-profit association. As a member of the Worldwide PMI organization, PMI Budapest, Hungarian Chapter has project managers who work as a community of volunteers for improving the quality of the project management profession by increasing the recognition and value of project management certifications, building relationships among local and international project management organizations and improving the international recognition of the profession.
